Here we have a list of different professions and an explanation of what each person does in that profession.

He's a waiter - Ell és cambrer.

(A person that works in a food outlet, looking after customers and serving food)

She's a waitress - Ella és cambrera
(A person that works in a food outlet, looking after customers and serving food)

She's a receptionist - Ella és recepcionista

(A person that is at the reception (entrance) of a company)

He's a doctor - Ell és metge.

(A person you go to see when you are ill or have some type of health problem)

She's a nurse - Ella és enfermera.

(A person trained to help a doctor look after the sick or injured)

She's a flight attendant - Ella es azafata.

(A person who assists passengers in an aircraft)

 

He's a judge - Ell és jutje.

(A qualified person that decides cases in a law court)

She's a singer  - Ella és cantant.

(A person who sings)

He's a police officer - Ell és agent de policía.

(A member of the police force. They (try and) prevent crime)

He's a mason - Ell és paleta.

(One who builds or works with stone or brick)

She's a cheff - Ella és cuinera.

(A person that prepared food for others, often in a restaurant or café)

He's a butler - Ell és majordom

(The head servant in a household who is usually in charge of food service, the care of silverware, and the deportment of the other servants)

He's an astronomer - Ell és astrònom.

(A scientist who studies astronomy)

She's an acrobat - Ella és acròbata

(One who is skilled in feats of balance and agility in gymnastics)

He's an actor - Ell és actor

(A person who acts in a play, film, broadcast, etc)

He's a salesperson - Ell és venedor de negòcis

(A person employed to represent a business and to sell its merchandise)

He's a  businesman - Ell és un home de negòcis.

(A person engaged in commercial or industrial business)

He's a teacher - Ell és mestre.

(A person that passes knowledge to students, usually at school)

He's an architect - Ell és arquitecte

(A person that designs building and houses)

 He's a bus driver - Ell és conductor de bus.

(A person that drives buses)

He's a carpenter - Ell és fuster

 (A person that makes things from wood including houses and furniture)

She's a dentist - Ella és dentista

(A person that can fix problems you have with your teeth)

He's a farmer - Ell és granger

(A person that works on a farm, usually with animals)

She's a hairdresser - Ella és perruquera

(They cut your hair or give it a new style)

He's a gardener - Ell és jardiner

(A person that keeps gardens clean and tidy. They take care of the plants in the garden)

She's a pharmacist - Ella és farmacèutica

(A qualified person that works with and dispenses medicine)

He's a pilot - Ell és pilot.

(A person who flies a plane)

He's a taxi driver - Ell és taxista

(A person who drives a taxi)
